Congestive Heart Failure Fluid Restriction

I wonder of those who were hospitalized for edema of congestive heart failure.?

I have been told by cardiologists that there preductable guarantees of success are possible with IV inotropes and diuretics. They say it varies depending on the degree of damage left and right ventricular MI. Many failures and non-responders are taking diuretics. So if you were admitted, how long was your stay until he said the swelling had resolved safely. ? How long he remains free of edema, so he turned back? (They say he always does, regardless of treatment modality) had a break of one month, what time? And restriction, sodium, diuretics and restriction of fluids at home helps to keep the edema from recurring? By Please share with me. I have severe edema in November since it came fairly quickly. liver is exploding with ascites. Thighs and legs rigid, like wood under intense pain and pressure of fluids inside. I can not bend the legs to wear my pants and climbing stairs or walking next to nothing. My breath is panting, sleep is almost impossible, I am weak and listless.

Heart failure is a syndrome of ventricular dysfunction. failure causes left ventricular failure of breath and fatigue, and right ventricular failure leads to accumulation of abdominal fluid and peripheral, both ventricles are usually involved in some measure. The diagnosis is clinical, supported by chest radiography and echocardiography. Treatment includes diuretics, ACE inhibitors, β-blockers, and correction of the underlying disorder. Digoxin can be administered to increase muscle strength and contraction of the heart, abnormally slow heart rate quickly and help prevent hospitalization. I know a similar case has been off-pump CABG with heart function of 30% that has not responded to diuretic Lasix. Following administration of digoxin, its symptoms, such as pedal edema and cardiac asthma has vanished. Please see the website for more details congestive heart failure.
