The heart is a muscle four chambers, hollow and double acting pump that is located in the chest between the lungs. Heart disease caused by high blood pressure contributes to hardening of the arteries. High levels of bad cholesterol (LDL) accumulate in the arteries as a result of uncontrolled diet with high levels of saturated fats and trans fats. All these add to the formation of atherosclerotic arterial lesions and, finally, the obstruction.
There are some major types of heart disease:
1.type disease heart affecting the heart chambers
Heart failure caused by heart does not pump as much blood as it should and so the body does not receive enough blood and oxygen it needs. The malfunction of the heart chambers due to damage caused by the narrowing or blockage of arteries.
2. Heart disease affecting heart muscles
The heart muscle thickens and stiffens, increasing the amount of pressure needed to increase blood flow to the heart or the narrowing of the passage as a result of obstruction of blood flow away from the heart.
3. Disease heart affecting the heart valves
These diseases occur when the heart rate of the mitral valve in the heart is closer to the heart work harder to pump blood from the left atrium to the ventricle. The mitral valve does not close properly and there is prolapse or narrowing of the aorta occures in the heart.
4. Heart disease affecting coronary arteries and coronary veins
The malfunction of the heart may be due to damage caused by narrowing or blockage of the arteries to the heart muscle, and backup of blood in the veins, causing accumulation that leads to inflammation in the feet, ankles and legs.
5. Heart disease affecting heart lining
Rheumatic heart disease results from inflammation of the lining of the heart when too much fluid accumulates in the lungs leading to pulmonary congestion. It due to the failure of the heart to remove fluid from the pulmonary circulation resulting in difficulty breathing, coughing up blood, pale and sweating.
6. Heart diseases affecting the electrical system
The electrical system in the heart is responsible for ensuring that the heart beats correctly so that blood can be transported to cells throughout our body. Any malfunction of the electrical system in the heart and makes a fast, slow or irregular.
7. Congenital heart disease
There are several diseases of the heart that people are born with. Congenital heart disease are caused by a persistence in the connection between the arterial and venous fetal circulation.
