Heart Disease Treatment Costs

I took my 1 year old cat to the vet for an initial review so that it can be arranged. (The why I waited so long is because I took my older cat to the vet men earlier this year.) The vet gave my cat a couple of shots and then took the vital signs of the cat. He said that the cat has a heart murmur and high heart rate and is recommended to see a cardiologist to check for any serious problems before getting her fixed. It also said it could be heart disease. I just want to know what to expect if my cat has a heart such as heart disease. Has anyone else had a cat with a high heart rate 1 year old? Was it be heart disease? If so, How do you manage the condition of your cat's heart? About how long does the treatment cost each month? Any other advice?
I had a young cat with heart disease, my cat developed his in around 13 years of age. It was high maintenance. Many visits and stays, multiple surgeries, thousands of dollars. He had given several tablets by mouth every day, no one else in my family got it so I had to learn how. It is one thing very sad to see your cat go. On the other hand, is very rewarding, knowing that to be keeping this cat so well that it will be put down, left or in a shelter with inadequate care. My cat is extended for at least six years after the onset of heart disease, at age 19 was just so sick could walk and half his face was paralyzed by what had put down. She continued to live a long life, 19 is old for a cat. All this, course, depend on the severity of your cat has heart disease. You may not require more than one pill every day, or may require multiple hospitalizations. Good luck to you both.
