Is this high blood pressure for a child?
A 9-year-old weighs 102 pounds and height is 4 "6." 100/75? Its for my niece. His father died of cardiomyopathy and I am worried she is hypertensive.
It is also useful to note that hypertension is not diagnosed by a reading of - you have to check a couple of times a week for a couple of weeks to establish a trend or pattern. Perhaps the child's blood pressure is because she was worried about something, or had exercised. A positive trend helps to rule out other causes.
