Pulmonary endarterectomy surgery in India under reasonable cost
Pulmonary Endarterectomy
Pulmonary endarterectomy (PEA, also known as PET) is a surgical procedure in which blood vessels in the lungs are cleared of clot and material of the scar. Although this sounds simple, it is actually technically very difficult to gain access to the arteries of the lungs, and the procedure itself is a great company. For this reason it is necessary to ensure that patients could potentially benefit from this operation are thoroughly evaluated.
Not everyone CTEPH will be suitable for this operation, and a series of additional investigations should be carried out in order to assess the appropriateness of surgery and the level of risk. However, in a large proportion of patients who undergo this operation, their activity level, quality of life and life expectancy improved significantly and pulmonary endarterectomy surgery may be considered as a cure for most patients.
What is chronic thromboembolism pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH)?
CTEPH is a form of pulmonary hypertension that occurs as a result of blood clots that block arteries out of the lungs. While most of these blood clots originate in the veins, many people with this condition may not be aware that these clots are forming. Over time, blood clots accumulating in the blood vessels of the lungs which become permanent scarring with narrowing and decreased blood flow, ultimately resulting in increased pressure and resistance to blood flow in the lungs that leads to pulmonary hypertension and right heart failure ...

There are three main reasons for considering PTE: -
Hemodynamic: - To prevent or improve engagement of the right ventricle caused by pulmonary hypertension.
Respiratory: - to restore blood flow ventilated but unperfused lung regions.
Prophylactic - to prevent progressive right ventricular dysfunction or retrograde extension of obstruction, which could lead to further cardiorespiratory deterioration or death, and to prevent secondary changes in the vessels arteriopathic remaining patent. Prevention arteriopathic secondary changes is an important indication for surgery.
How do PE in India?
PTE is an eight-hour procedure, performed under general anesthesia, in which the chest is opened and the patient is connected to a bypass machine heart-lung. The body of the patient also is cooled to about 68 degrees Fahrenheit, the temperature because it reduces the body's need for oxygen at 95 percent.
PTE is the surgical procedure to remove life-threatening blood clots, strokes, from the pulmonary arteries to restore blood flow to the lungs. Surgery can provide a cure for pulmonary hypertension due to chronic pulmonary thromboembolic disease by restoring blood pressure normal pulmonary artery and the elimination of the possibility of right heart failure ...
