Symptoms of primary pulmonary hypertension

Pulmonary hypertension is caused by high blood pressure in the lungs. This disease is caused by a blockage of blood flow or oxygen from the lungs. Let's review the symptoms of primary pulmonary hypertension and the diagnosis.

The most common symptoms of primary pulmonary hypertension include shortness of breath, hyperventilation, fatigue, weakness progresses, fainting, dizziness, cough with blood, and the development of blue tint to your skin.

While primary pulmonary hypertension may not be apparent until it is well advanced, a major symptoms, however, swollen ankles. These symptoms may occur during a period of time. If you are diagnosed with primary pulmonary hypertension, it is important to be monitored for these symptoms by establishing routine visits with your cardiologist or a specialist in the HPP. If new symptoms, call your PTT specialist immediately.

Some people with sense of error Primary Pulmonary Hypertension tired of being out of shape. However, difficulty breathing, dizziness and even fainting are also typical of the first symptoms. The swelling of the ankles or legs, bluish lips and skin, and chest pain are among other symptoms of the disease. Some also complain of a pulse race, and many feel they have trouble getting enough air. Palpitations may also cause discomfort.

An examination by your PPH specialist may show distention of the veins in his neck, swelling of the legs or hands, and an enlarged liver. All these conditions indicate that the right ventricle of the heart is working harder to pump blood to the blood vessels of the lungs. This can be a clear indication that you are suffering from primary pulmonary hypertension.

In addition, you may want to consider your PPH specialist not immediately, can be diagnosed immediately postpartum hemorrhage. If you've been in the drug Fen-Phen to lose weight, for example, the time frame from the time it took medicine for developing symptoms is about ten years.

Even in its later stages, however, signs of the disease can often confused with other conditions that affect the heart and lungs. Therefore, it is vital that you inform your PPH specialist that he was taking the drug Fen-Phen and time as well. Thus, most of the conditions associated with primary pulmonary hypertension can be excluded.

In an effort to determine the extent of the disease, PPH your specialist may wish to perform several tests. Cardiac catheterization is the way the doctor can ensure that the condition is due to Primary Pulmonary Hypertension and not attribute it to some other condition.

Additional tests may be performed, such as an electrocardiogram, showing enlargement of the right side of the heart, a chest radiograph may show enlarged heart size, an echocardiogram or ultrasound of the heart is carried out initially and can also be used to track the progression of the disease. An echocardiogram may show right ventricular enlargement and sometimes the pressures can be estimated right ventricle and pulmonary arteries, and, as mentioned above, a cardiac catheterization.

The proof of that for which a clear diagnosis can be of primary pulmonary hypertension by your PPH specialist is a cardiac catheterization. In reality, this pressure is measured on the right side of the heart. Several drugs can be used during cardiac catheterization to determine if the blood vessels in the lungs to relax in response to them. This may reduce pressure on the lungs and can help guide therapy.

Unfortunately, those who have primary pulmonary hypertension do not seek medical help by a specialist HPP until it can not go on your daily routine. The most severe symptoms, the most advanced in the disease. In these later stages, the individual is able to perform only minimal activity and have symptoms even at rest. The disease can progress to the point where the individual is completely bedridden.

It is vital, therefore, if you suspect or symptoms of primary pulmonary hypertension, and confirmed by PPH specialist, looking for a PPH attorney. It is their right to seek action against the company pharmaceutical that produces the drug Fen-Phen, and participate fully in a lawsuit to claim damages through claims provided by a qualified lawyer HPP. You are entitled to receive compensation for medical treatment, punitive damages, and loss of income.

A lawyer for PPH, which specializes pharmaceutical litigation generally, and Fen-Phen, in particular, has been undoubtedly a large number of legal cases related to this drug by those who seek not only to protect their health and their loved ones. Clearly, therefore, you should take advantage of the legal remedies available by contacting a lawyer PPH.

Underage and Overweight: America's Childhood Obesity Crisis--What Every Family Needs to Know

$16.75

In 2001, the U.S. Surgeon General issued a press release to the American public containing some disturbing statistics: 14 percent of teenagers and 13 percent of children were overweight or obese. This skyrocketing figure is associated with increases in high cholesterol, high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes, as well as higher obesity figures in the adult population. In response to the growing crisis affecting America's youth, Frances M. Berg, MS, LN, brings her lifetime of knowledge to bear on the problem of obesity in children and teens in the groundbreaking book Underage and Overweight: America's Childhood Obesity Epidemic. Studies and statistics prove that diets and exercise regimens don't work on children and teens; instead, they can lead to eating disorders, malnutrition and increased weight gain in the long run. More than a diet and exercise plan, Underage and Overweight encourages families to promote a more active lifestyle and provide healthier food choices, rather then prescribing aerobics and limiting portions. A helpful and insightful guide to healthy living for the whole family, Underage and Overweight provides solutions for parents who want to learn how to help their children lead healthier, more active lives.
